Many places are highly talked about for their safety, friendliness, and overall welcoming environments for solo female travelers. I plan to visit at least 3 of these places before 2028. Here are some of my top choices:

Iceland has amazing landscapes, such as waterfalls, glaciers, and geysers. Reykjavik, the capital, is very welcoming, with a map layout that is easy to follow. If you need help in Iceland, the locals are willing to help.
  2. New Zealand: With breathtaking scenery, a strong outdoor culture, and a reputation for being friendly and safe, New Zealand is ideal for solo female adventurers. There are plenty of well-maintained trails, and options for both group tours and solo exploration.

  4. Canada: Canada is known for its welcoming and diverse culture, with friendly locals and vibrant, safe cities. Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto offer a mix of urban and nature-based experiences, and Canada’s national parks are well-regulated and easily accessible.
  5. Switzerland: Switzerland has a strong reputation for safety and well-organized public transportation, allowing solo travelers to explore cities like Zurich and Geneva or travel through the scenic Alps. The country’s high standards for accommodations and services provide a comfortable experience.
  6. Portugal: Portugal has gained popularity for being affordable, safe, and welcoming, especially in cities like Lisbon and Porto. Known for its relaxed pace and friendly locals, Portugal is a great place for solo travelers to explore beaches, historic sites, and vibrant neighborhoods.
  7. Australia: With a laid-back culture, incredible beaches, and cities like Sydney and Melbourne, Australia is both safe and easy to navigate. Its extensive travel infrastructure and outdoor-focused lifestyle make it appealing for solo travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation.
  8. Ireland: Known for its warm and hospitable locals, Ireland is a charming destination with low crime rates. Cities like Dublin and Galway are easy to explore, and the scenic countryside, including the Cliffs of Moher and the Ring of Kerry, is accessible via well-regulated tours.
  9. Netherlands: With safe, bike-friendly cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the Netherlands is ideal for independent travel. The country’s emphasis on equality and its welcoming attitude toward visitors make it particularly comfortable for solo women.
  10. Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Denmark): These countries have strong reputations for safety, gender equality, and high quality of life. Scandinavian cities like Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen are clean, efficient, and filled with cultural sites, while the surrounding landscapes offer incredible outdoor experiences.
